What is Xenical?
Xenical is the branded form of orlistat 120 mg, a prescription medication used to support weight loss in adults. It works by blocking up to one‑third of the fat you eat from being absorbed, helping reduce calorie intake when combined with diet and exercise

Who is it for?

How it works

• Orlistat blocks the action of lipase enzymes in the gut, preventing them from breaking down fat in your diet.

Dosage & administration

• Take one 120 mg capsule up to three times a day with or up to one hour after each main meal that contains fat.

• Do not exceed three capsules per day.

• If you miss a meal or have a fat-free meal, skip that dose.

• Rarely, orlistat has been linked to kidney issues (oxalate nephropathy), so people with renal disease should use caution.
  

• It may interact with medications (e.g. levothyroxine) — timing and monitoring may be required.
